I have genuinely loved working at uMed for the past 5 years. Being part of such an amazing, supportive team while working on studies that have the potential to truly change clinical practice is incredibly rewarding. As a nurse with over 20 years’ experience, it means a lot to me to still feel so connected to patients—just in a different way. Through leading Patient Services and running PPI, I’m able to make sure patient voices are shaping study design from the very start, keeping people at the heart of everything we do. The culture within the Patient Services team is fantastic, as well as in the wider uMed team. On a personal level, balancing a full-time leadership role with two young children (aged 1 and 5!) isn’t always easy, but being part of an innovative, forward-thinking company that genuinely values people makes it possible.
