Cookie Policy

UK visitors: This policy is issued in accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and UK GDPR. Non-essential cookies require your consent before they are set. You will be asked for consent on your first visit via our cookie banner.

US visitors: This policy applies to visitors from all US states. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to opt out of the sharing of personal information. See the California section below.

1. Who We Are

This cookie policy applies to the websites operated by Umedeor Limited (registered in England and Wales, no. 11067577, 15 Stukeley Street, London WC2B 5LT) and its US affiliate uMed Technologies Inc., a Delaware corporation (PO Box 726, 241 Arlington Street, Acton, MA 01720-2200, USA) (together "uMed", "we", "us", or "our").

For questions about this policy, contact us at usersupport@umed.io.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device on subsequent visits and perform various functions, such as keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, or collecting information about how you use the site.

Cookies can be:

•       Session cookies — temporary cookies deleted when you close your browser

•       Persistent cookies — cookies that remain on your device until they expire or you delete them

•       First-party cookies — set directly by the uMed website

•       Third-party cookies — set by external services we use, such as Google

In addition to traditional cookies, some tracking technologies use browser local storage or session storage to store similar information. These are treated in the same way as cookies under this policy.

3. Cookies We Use

The following cookies are currently set on the uMed website. We will update this table whenever our cookie use changes.

The Google cookies listed above are associated with Google services currently loading on this website. We are reviewing whether all Google services in use are necessary and will update this table accordingly. Your consent is required before these cookies are set.

4. Cookie Categories Explained

Strictly Necessary

These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are set in response to actions you take, such as accessing a secure area. They do not store any personally identifiable information. These do not require your consent.

Functional

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we use. If you do not allow these cookies, some features may not work correctly.

Analytics

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve site performance. All information collected is aggregated and anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our site.

Marketing

These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners, including Google. They may be used to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertising on other sites. They do not store directly personal information but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and device.

5. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences

Via our cookie banner

When you first visit the uMed website, you will be shown a cookie consent banner. You can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customise your preferences by category. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of the website.

Via your browser settings

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. The following links explain how to manage cookies in the most common browsers:

Please note that blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of the website and some features may not work as intended.

Opting out of Google advertising cookies

You can opt out of Google's use of cookies for advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at: adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of third-party advertising cookies via the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page at: optout.networkadvertising.org.

6. UK Visitors — Your Rights Under PECR and UK GDPR

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), we are required to obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies on your device. Consent must be:

•       Freely given — you must have a genuine choice

•       Specific — you must know what you are consenting to

•       Informed — this policy and our banner provide that information

•       Unambiguous — consent requires a clear affirmative action

•       As easy to withdraw as to give — you can change your preferences at any time

Under UK GDPR, you also have the right to access information about the personal data collected about you through cookies, and to request its deletion. To exercise these rights, contact usersupport@umed.io.

You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe your cookie consent rights have not been respected.

7. US Visitors — California and Other State Rights

California (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the Google advertising cookies currently set on this website may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). You have the right to opt out of this at any time.

To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information via cookies, you can:

•       Use our cookie banner to reject marketing cookies

•       Click "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the footer of the website

•       Enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser — we will treat this as an opt-out request

You also have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. To exercise these rights, contact usersupport@umed.io.

Other US States

Residents of Connecticut, Colorado, Virginia, Texas, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar opt-out rights in relation to targeted advertising cookies. We will honour opt-out requests from residents of any US state. To opt out, use our cookie banner or contact usersupport@umed.io.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We recognise and respond to the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we will treat this as a request to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising purposes. We do not currently respond to the older "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signal, as there is no agreed standard for how it should be interpreted.

8. Third-Party Services

The Google cookies identified in Section 3 are set as a result of Google services loading on this website. Google has its own privacy and cookie policies, which govern how Google uses the data collected through these cookies. We encourage you to review Google's privacy policy at: policies.google.com/privacy.

Cloudflare's use of the __cf_bm cookie is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy at: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

We are currently reviewing our use of Google services to minimise the number of non-essential cookies set on this website and will update this policy when changes are made.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes in the law, or for other operational reasons. The date of the most recent version is shown at the top of this page. Where changes are material, we will notify you via the cookie consent banner on your next visit.
